Volunteers pool their resources to have a huge Christmas Party in December, at which we have a silent auction of new items and services donated by individuals and businesses.  This party has grown to become the social event of the season!   Because several of our volunteers have been on a winning BBQ cooking team, we are available to cater BBQ picnics and dinners.  We also sell smoked turkeys and Boston butts to raise funds.   This year, one of our volunteers is writing and selling personalized "Letters from Santa", with all proceeds going to the Clydesdale Children's Christmas Store.   With our large circle of friends, we have been fortunate in finding permanent corporate sponsors to help support our efforts.   One thing that really helps us is the support we get from our local Wal-Mart store, which offers us a substantial discount on toys and clothing that we purchase.  In addition, Wal-Mart has also contributed significant support to our fund-raising efforts.
